The Deceitful Nymeria

Basically, what has been happening is there was a large(3 months or so) time skip from the day that Nymeria got tortured to what is happening now.
I want to have Nymeria basically deceiving her husband, Micheal, to see her brother, because she know he's going to die since no one likes her brother ever since he sold his sister off to the Northern King.

My inspiration is the music playlist that I made for writing this book, which contains a few songs my Jaymes Young, which has been always a great inspiration.

Excerpt;
“How’s Micheal?” Magenta questioned, not seeing him around.

“He’s in the chamber of conference, talking to his war generals about his plans with the South,” I sounded a bit upset about it, but Magenta ignored the signs of how nervous I was about it and put up the bows and arrows that we were practicing with.

“Next, I should teach you how to shot on a moving horse,” Magenta chuckled and looked around. “People will fear you, if you can master that,” she purred in my ear.

“Later, Magenta,” I looked up at her, but that wasn’t enough to make her go away. I really did not want to see her, or any of the Kale family, even Micheal, but Magenta was not getting the idea to go away.

“But, come on, Nymeria,” she grinned, pulling on my arm, but I jerked away shaking, shaking my head.

“No,” I sighed, stepping backwards, just in case she tried reaching for my arm again. “I’m tired anyway,” that was a lie, but I didn’t care. I just turned away and walked back up to the castle, where Kaylyn, the mother, grabbed my attention, bringing me straight to the Chamber of Conference. The place that I had been avoiding all day. I rolled my eyes.

“Ah, here is my lovely wife. Say hello to Nymeria, everyone,” Micheal spoke loudly before turning towards me.

I wanted to hide within my fur-lined cloak, but that was no possible. I just walked over to Micheal, giving an awkward wave to everyone that was sitting around the table.

“Come, my darling. We are talking about how we are going to scale the wall and take the South,” he chuckled.

I took a seat next to him, on his right, with a quiet sigh. I really did not want to be here, but at this point, I had no choice. I needed to get used to this anyway.

“So, where were we? Oh! Getting past the great wall that divides this country,” Micheal mumbled on, thinking to him before I decided to perk up.

“Micheal, you know that wall is nearly impossible to get through, without signature of the King of that side. Remember, Jamie couldn’t get through with a written document of your knowledge that we were coming through?” I knew a few things about war and strategy.

“That is true. What about you? You’re a true Southern, you can get us through, right? Micheal asked.

“I guess, I could, but I don’t know if that’ll work since I no longer wear their symbol. I wear a Wolf, not a Bear,” I looked up at him, shrugging a bit.

“It’ll probably work, but if not, prepare for a fight,” Micheal added at the end.

Someone entered the room, coming directly to me, but Micheal did not seem to like that. He ripped the piece of parchment out of the messenger’s hand and growled.

“What is it, Micheal?” I asked, curiously before the paper was shoved at me.

“This concerns your brother,” he rolled his eyes.

I looked over it, carefully reading over every word before I stood up. I might have hated my brother, but this letter told me stories of how the city of Ocean Villa has turned against him and he may be soon assassinated and he needed his sister.

“Where are you going?” Micheal grabbed my arm and we stared into one another’s eyes.

“My brother needs my help,” I knew Micheal wouldn’t let me go.

He forced me back into my seat, shaking his head and muttering something underneath his breath.

My brother could hold out for a while till I can get a chance to slip away. I, of course, am not leaving without Micheal knowing. I’ll probably be going to war with him, fighting along side my wolfish husband.

“Thank the holy gods that Magenta has been teaching you to fight,” Micheal muttered before moving a few of the wolf pieces towards the wall, the biggest piece being Micheal and his army, but the other armies, from the North, were behind him. Micheal always fought on the front line.

“I believe, if I do ride with my husband, we would be able to get through. My brother is expecting me,” I looked up at Micheal, holding the paper up to him. It was a deceitful way to help my husband, just to see my brother, but it would have to work for now, till I can feel comfortable to tell him.

Setting

Is it bad when I don't focus on the setting?
I mean, I focus more around my characters, than anything.
I always fall head over heels for my characters, like my character Nymeria and her brother, King James. It's a struggle, for real.

But, if I had to describe my settings, it would be a lot like the layout of the UK, with the North being Scotland and Ireland being the "Land over the Ocean", which is where the Field People live, then the country would be divided in half with a lake and a wall, and beyond the wall, would be the South and both the North and the South have nothing in common.
It never snows, in the South. It's always 72 degrees, or above and the North, it rarely stops snowing and its always 32 degrees or below, mainly in the negative
s.

Nothing too fancy, since I focus more on my characters.

New Book Idea

Since Sarah is working with me, I have started something completely new and improved.
It's sort of based around Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. I am super excited about it, in all honesty.

It's centered around a girl named Nymeria.
She was sold off, by her brother, King James, to the King of the North as if she was a Peace Treaty between the North and the South.
She fits in, in the North perfectly, unlike she did, in the South.
I am having a lot easier time with this, since I don't have to follow many guidelines like I had to with my other stories.
I don't have to be historically correct, or anything along those lines.

Basically, my inspiration is Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings.
I listen to a lot of instrumental music, which helps when I am in the groove of something.
Sarah is the biggest help of all and I really appreciate all of her help.

Excerpt;
          “My precious sister, you fit in perfectly,” he purred softly, walking over to me, stroking my hair, but the prince pulled me away, glaring at James.
“Don’t touch her,” he murmured, “she isn’t precious to you, if you’re just giving her up.” He was going to take good care of me, since my brother didn’t much care for me.
“Oh, Northern Prince, you have no idea how much I love my sister. She is what is going to bring this country peace,” he spoke in a very low voice, as if he was trying to be intimidating, but nothing was working.
“King James, I think you may need to leave,” the Northern King had stepped forward. He was the one, who had protected me from Fear, outside of the castle. His name was Robert. He had a husky voice and looked out for his people and his people only.
My brother looked offended, but I just turned away. I felt like I was betraying my people, of the South, but they betrayed me. I was doing no wrong here.
He was there, for a brief moment then Fear approached from behind and the guards around the room raised their hands, to their swords. Fear wasn’t supposed to be there. He was disobeying the King’s orders of not entering the castle.
I stepped backwards, glaring at the large man, who was getting his King and directing him to leave. Fear and I made eye contact just before he left. The large man muttered something and it hit my ear just so that I knew he said something, but I could not make it out.
He was the sneaky bastard son of my father and needed to fall off the face of the earth and never bother me again. I would make sure of that, one day. He would fear me.

No more NaNoWriMo

I do not have the time to do NaNoWriMo. I have a new idea, though and I really want to focus my time and efforts in that and no bother with word count.

My idea though is something along the lines that Sarah is writing. She is helping me create the worlds and the characters.
She's like my nice, little editor.
She tells me if something stupid and helps me enhance my story line.
I really appreciate it.

The Struggle. Ugh.

The Struggle is so Real

Basically, I am struggling all of the relationships between my 4 main characters; Rosemary, Emily, Bruno, and Parker.

I kind of want Bruno and Emily to end up together and I am already killing Rosemary off, later down the road. I mean, Emily is supposed to end up with Parker, but what if Parker is bad, just like the people that had burned down her home and Bruno ends up saving her from him?
Oh my goodness, there are so many things that I could do, in the end with all of this. I think Bruno and Emily are going to have a thing, for a while, then maybe I'll have Parker finally confess his feelings to Emily.
I don't know.
The Struggle, it is so real right now.
Even my normal inspiration of Jaymes Young and my in and out muse isn't even helping me. I am utterly stuck right now.

Preview for my presentation;
My characters, are for sure, going to be mentioned in my presentation, since that is what I put most of my time and effort in. I am not focused artist, so I found the actors and actresses that I could kill to have portray my characters in a movie.
My inspirations and major story lines and plot twists will me mentioned as well. I might go a bit deeper in my plot, since a lot of people aren't following my story, so I need to get more than half of the class up to date on everything.
I have a book cover idea, which I am super excited about it. I love making my book covers and finding all of my characters for my presentation.

But, here is a small excerpt of Bruno and Emily interacting with one another:

Bruno popped his collar, on his jacket, with a shake of his head. “Such a ruffian,” he commented before walking over to Emily and Rosemary with a flashing, charming smile. He nodded his head to Rosemary and shooed her off, so he could have some quality time with Emily, since he knew she was a bit of a closed and reserved girl and he really wanted to break her open and make her feel like the woman that she was.
Emily stepped back, but her back hit a wall. She was trapped. Bruno sighed softly and took the girl’s face into his hands. He knew that all of this was awkward. He stared at it, with a quiet intention before giving her forehead a gentle kiss. He couldn’t wait to have a piece of this. He thought Rosemary was great. Emily might even be better.
Emily really wanted to push Bruno off and run after Parker, but she knew Parker had no interest in her, even though she had just watched Parker attack, literally, knocking Bruno into chairs and breaking part of the table, because Parker did not want Bruno taking her innocence. She did not know what to do, but to pull slowly away and look up at him with a soft expression.
“Emily, may I take you for a walk through town?” Bruno asked quietly, letting the girl step from him, knowing that she was uncomfortable with the closeness. He knew about Emily, very much about her, because of Rosemary. Rosemary had told Bruno most everything about Emily. Everything from the dark past that she harbored to how kind she was about most everyone. He felt close to her, even though they weren’t close at all.
Emily frowned a bit and looked up at Bruno. Their eyes met, Emily looked like she hated him, but honestly, she was just nervous. She did not want to go anywhere, but Bruno then insisted.
“Fine,” the girl whispered.
Bruno then wrapped an arm around Emily’s shoulder, in a possessive manner as he led the girl out of the Brothel and into the busy streets. Parker, who was still sulking around the area, watched them. Bruno rolled his eyes and glanced down at Emily.
“Bruno,” her voice was quiet as she spoke.
“Yes, Emily?” Something about Bruno’s voice held a light air about it, even though Emily was being serious.
“Why are you doing this? Why did you, purposely, upset Parker?” Emily looked up at Bruno. She knew that Bruno had told Parker, out of spite and wanted to see the Irishman lose his temper and get kicked out of the brothel. It was sad, really. Emily thought they were best friends. They were business partners weren’t they?

The Strain on Relationships.

Jaymes Young is my inspiration.

His music has such power and the song Parachute is something that I have been listening to for a few days now.
It really describes the situation that I have with Parker and Emily, in my story.
Parker is going to be doing some bad things, in this chapter. He is not only going to mess his friendship up with his business partner, but he realizes how much he does care about Emily, even though, she has no interest in him, as of right now. I really like conflict and that is what this chapter and a few more is all about.

To really capture Bruno, which was going to be my main issue, I am having to really use persona. I am trying to get into the mindset of a 1800s Business man, who is tough as nails, but had a soft inside. I really love this chapter and I want more on him. He might steal the spot light from Parker, honestly. I don't know though.

A lot has happened. Not only did Emily and Parker gone their separate ways, but Parker has become involved in the normal activities of the ladies of the night and Emily knows it to be true.
This has caused a few, terrible things to happen. Rosemary has talked Emily into losing her innocence to Bruno, who is Rosemary's most valued person, in her life, and this is going to cause a strain on, not only, Bruno and Parker's relationship, but Parker and Emily's going to be relationship.

Excerpt;
The next day could not come fast enough and there Bruno was, talking with Rosemary, when Emily came down and Parker was not far behind her. He bumped into her, but Emily did not seem to be bothered by it. He was marching straight to Bruno and gave the male a giant hug. Emily gave a small smile as she leaned against the wall.
Rosemary was pushed from the conversation, between the men, since the two men began to grow serious. Rosemary walked, straight, over to Emily and chuckled. “Bruno mentioned your name right as I walked away,” Rosemary whispered.
Emily wasn’t going to respond. She was too intent and focused on the conversation Bruno and Parker were having. Parker was growing upset and bothered by what Bruno was saying.
Bruno wasn’t very tall, like Parker. He was short, maybe five foot seven, but he was very stout and muscular. He had short, but well-maintained hair with dark, tanned skin and dark eyes that told a million stories. He definitely was Rosemary’s type and he was growing impatient and angry with his friend, Parker.
Suddenly, Parker had an outburst, slamming his hand on the table and Bruno showed Parker something, Emily guessed it was a gun to shut Parker up and it did. Parker exclaimed, “why her?!”
This caught most everyone’s’ attention and Emily turned away. Rosemary cleared her throat and directed Emily up the stairs and away from the mess that was about to happen.
“Parker, you had your chance,” Bruno’s thick, New York accent could be heard from up the stairs.
“She’s innocent. You’re taking her innocence from her, Bruno,” Parker pleaded, but nothing seemed to work.
Bruno just gave a shrug and made eye contact with Mistress Maria, who had showed her wary face. Bruno waved for her attention and pushed past Parker, who was still angry and Bruno was soon on the ground and Parker was on top of him.
Parker began to attack Bruno, with no mercy till someone pulled Parker off of him and Maria promptly kicked the Irishman out of the Brothel.

Chapter 2.

Parker is scum
not really.
This chapter is mainly centered around relationship growth, especially with the two main characters, Emily and Parker.
During this chapter, we are focused around Parker and how he has left the Brothel and has gone off, pretty much forgetting about Emily. He comes back to the Brothel and never speaks to her.
I enjoy abusing my characters. I like the explosions of emotions and sadness. This is the chapter where I am going to have so many things happening. Bruno, which is Rosemary's main man that comes and "visits" her, is another big part of this chapter, as well.
He is not only Parker's best friend, but he also turns out to be the first person Emily ever sleeps with. This is a big moment, due to Emily's innocences and timidness of the whole situation. I want Parker to find out and him grow more protective and caring of Emily and this will cause a lot of conflict between Parker and Bruno, in the end.

Honestly though, I do feel like I have gotten better. Sara is really helping me.
She helps my writing not be as awkward, especially the speaking parts, when people are conversing with one another and she always reads over my things when I post something.
But, I don't really get much help from the class. Yeah, Nana and Ben have really encouraged me, at the beginning to go hard on this, but as far as the lessons, I don't feel like I am getting what I need from it.
Maybe, its because I already know most of the things that you are teaching and I am reaching for much higher things than just writing humor/comedy, but the Persona is something that I am excited to learn more about.
It might help me with Parker and Bruno's characters.

      Excerpt;
There, Emily stood, staring into her bedroom. A few of the women were swooning over Parker, making sure he was all right and giving him kisses and whatnot.  Emily gritted her teeth. That was her bedroom. That was her privacy area. She felt so violated and those women knew what they were doing was wrong.
“Oh, Parker,” one of the girl cooed at Parker and the others were wrapping their arms around the male’s frame, then they all turned to Emily, knowing that she was watching, writhing in pain and anger.
Emily stomped in there and looked at each other them. She had so many things that she wanted to say to them, but she could not find the words to articulate herself to sound somewhat more intelligent than them, so instead, she sat the cup of Ale down, on the side table and pointed to the door. “Out. Now,” her voice was stern, which was odd for the young, soft-spoken girl.
The girls scoffed and stood up, stomping their way out of the room. Parker, the whole time, felt a bit awkward and definitely looked extremely uncomfortable. He looked up at Emily and frowned a bit. He knew what had happened really did upset the girl; he could read it on her soft, freckled face. He stood up, ignoring the Ale that had been brought for her and grabbed her face. He stared into her eyes, their eyes met in a very intimate moment. Parker was quiet, for a moment, and then they both burst out, into laughter together, at random.
~~~~~
With this excerpt, I am trying to show a bit more of an aggressive Emily, though she really isn't aggressive or out spoken to begin with. As well as, Parker and Emily's first, real interaction together. I feel like, here, Parker views Emily as a little sister, but down the road, I want their relationship to really blossom into something amazing.
